Our go to Mac & Cheese recipe! Kids love it and it is ready to go in under an hour!

Ingredients

2 Cups Macaroni Noodles

2 Cups Shredded Cheese
-
3 Tablespoons Butter
-
3 Tablespoons AP Flour
-
1 ½ Cups Milk
-
2 teaspoons Claire’s Kitchen Sweet Onion & Garlic Seasoning

1 Cup Breadcrumbs
-
2 Tablespoons Butter (Melted)
Directions
Prepare Noodles as directed on package
Preheat Oven to 375F
Shred Cheese, if using blocks. Skip this step if using pre-shredded cheese.
Melt 3 Tablespoons Butter in sauce pan on medium heat. Add Flour and seasonings. Whisk together until combined.
Add milk and whisk until smooth. Continue heating until thickened (4-5 mins), but do not boil.
Once smooth, remove from heat and add shredded cheese, ⅓ at a time, stirring to combine.
Once Cheese Sauce is smooth and combined, add to drained macaroni noodles and mix together. Transfer to 9x9 baking dish.
Melt remaining 2 Tablespoons butter in microwave and combine with breadcrumbs. Stir until completely combined.
Spoon breadcrumb mixture onto top of mac & cheese in baking dish and level.
Transfer baking dish to oven and bake until breadcrumb topping is golden brown (20-30 mins).
Enjoy!
Recipe Note
You can leave off the breadcrumbs and enjoy the mac & cheese directly from the stove top if you prefer. We enjoy cheddar cheese, but feel free to experiment with your favorite cheeses.
